Ecomist is a New Zealand brand and was one of the very first automatic aerosol dispensers on the market back in 1992. Ecomist dispensers spray out small amounts of pyrethrins at regular intervals. Pyrethrins are natures own insecticide derived from chrysanthemum daisies; they kill and repel most flying and crawling insects.

Ecomist dispensers have a light sensor which lowers output at night when insects are less active and their solenoid valve produces an extremely fine mist which is easily dispersed through the air.
